And if your wireless that is perfectly fine.

There is only two types of configs. Wireless and hard-wired. In his case, I think he has a desktop and so he doesn't have that wireless capability, I think. So sans wireless HAS to go hard to the router. I think.

Thanks again for stepping up, can't thank ya enough!

I'm just sorry I wasn't able to help him.

The issue is probably a setting in the modem/router itself

I am also wondering if a DMZ scenario would be good for him? By the way any Xfinity person can step up that is hard wired and answer. This isn't Mac specific in regards to the router stuff. As far as I can tell he solid in that Kai is doing its thing and as long as he is "rocking" that part is good. Now for them packets...

And I have no idea what "Parallels" is either so there is that. Full on Mac retard reporting in unfortunately.

Hi guys, Parallels is for running windows on my Mac. Not crazy about that avenue. I have not tried the direct connect into my Mac but will first thing tonight when I get home. I have small windows of opportunity to get this set up (in between the wife getting home and when she falls asleep) LOL... I am feeling confident your suggestion will work. I will try it out and report back. Hopefully I will be owning you guys with my 3 and 7 skills!!!!! hahah! :p

If it's an intel based Mac ( it needs to be for Kai to run) , then it is a later version and should have a wifi option.

I hope you manage to get on without issue. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be

Absolutely! Between you guys here and a guy named Kevin Tripp and ACobra over on FB Socom Xlink... the support has been phenomenal!!! ACobra spent 45 minutes on the phone with me last weekend. True Socom love. Thanks to all.

Plugging my PS2 into my Mac directly and turning on my WIFI didn't work either. I get all good signs that I'm reachable and can see my PS2 in the metrics but no rooms show up on my LAN on my PS2 and I am still getting no ping on KIA. Someone told me on KIA to check my IP to see if I'm public ISP or NAT.

This is why it's so frustrating. You have to be a god damn computer engineer to get this shit working. I'm no slouch when it comes to computers. I'm a webadmin and build websites. But this shit... This shit i can't figure out. If anyone has time this evening I would love to get this working. I really don't want to give up now...

That sucks man. I'm a programmer analyst during the day and I used to feel like this a few years ago setting up XLINK on a PC. It gets so damn defeating being like "wtf I'm a wizard by day and I can't tackle this shit". I know it don't help you at all, but PC is brain dead at this point. And it's even worse that XLINK support doesn't really have much for you, and I don't think they plan on improving functionality for it at all.

Hope to see you make it dude. Sometimes you're just a reset away from making the connection.

That's weird. I'm starting my Mac now, I'll do a fresh install, everything right from scratch..

If you want, I'll do it stet by step with you and hopefully (at the very least) we can narrow down what is causing the problem

Right on, I see your name in the lobby.

At least now you know, it was just a setting on your modem/router that was causing the problem.

And now after the restart I'm back down. It gets stuck now at Querying Orbital Mesh. *big sigh* Hmmmmm

It happens. Restarting Kai completely usually fixes it

Does this work if I have the game running on my pc as a disk with an emulator?

Not really. The action is on PS2 in its natural habitat being run by the Playstation.
