Actually, someone did make a patch, but unfortunately the steps required to use it are too much for some. I'm almost there, I just need to find an older PS2 than the one I have. I have to disagree with your "wall sliding happens" point though. While I do agree that it is easy to do accidentally, it's also pretty easy to do intentionally, as evidenced by just about every round start I've played in xLink. It seriously looks like some people timing the boost perfectly in Mario Kart while others burn out at the start. Again, it seriously hampers the game experience for anyone unwilling to get dirty and do it themselves. That being said, rather than try and force the regular xLink guys to stop doing it, as they've shown little willingness to do so, we can just play in our own room and let them be. For what it's worth, I'd like to see both crowds be able to comingle with one another, but it quickly becomes a hostile situation just about every time they do.
